UNIBEN SUG PRO WRITES ABOUT THE SOCIETY

The Public Relations Officer of the University of Benin Students Union Government (SUG), Ehiabhi Goodnews, has on social media poured out his thought about the society he lives in.

Goodnews via facebook disclosed how he had been advised by some persons to focus on his studies and ignore whatever activity being carried in the institution to avoid being expelled.

He further told graduates seeking jobs not to blame companies for not employing them but the bad educational system that produced them.

Read his write up below:
On this day, I'll like to say it's obvious that in the society that we live in, when the oppressed speaks, he becomes more oppressed.
That's not even the issue anymore. The issue now is that the oppressed have become more timid and scared over time because they are scared of either being rusticated, expelled or suspended from any tertiary institution while some are scared of bullets piecing through their body.
It has become a national anthem to me now. People saying Goodnews read your books and leave the system. Don't get expelled, suspended or rusticated or don't get killed but the answer is do they think we care anymore? We are not scared to die anymore because even the independence that we have today, many men died for it. As for being expelled or rusticated, we won't be the first or the last to experience such.
You can't expect the masses to keep quiet and get garbage as education.
This is a strong message to all aspiring comrades out there and existing comrades. Before you become a Comrade, you must first kill your selfish nature and be ready to stand and die for what you believe in.
In my few years on earth, I am convinced that a man only die once. So tell them that we are not scared to fall in the battle field provided I have more than 1000 soldiers that will pick up my rifle and keep firing.
And to those youths out there that want to graduate and leave the system, let me remind you that Nigeria has more than 11million unemployed youths as at today. Tell me where you will get jobs??
Need I remind you that it is not the fault of these companies that they can't employ our brothers no more instead it is because of the bad educational system that produced them.
Let it be known that being an Honourable is not in the title you bear, it's your attitude.
I'll talk to my people someday
GOD BLESS MY PEOPLE
