A primary school in Anambra state has shocked Nigerians after giving students goats as prize for doing well in their studies. The primary school which is a Catholic institution awarded the students for coming first.
They were handed the goats for coming first in their respective classes. Ten exceptional students were given goats of different sizes and colours for their spectacular achievement in their various classes and studies.
It was gathered that the goat-handing ceremony reportedly took place in Saint Paul’s Catholic Church in Nibo area of Anambra state.
Many Nigerians were outraged to hear the story of the goat-handling ceremony with many stating that such cases is the reason why education in Nigeria lacks quality.
However, it was gathered that goat is reportedly a highly appreciated gift in the community. It could be that the gift is the best thing the school could give the students as goats are said to be highly appreciated in the community
