Edo gov’s uncle retired Justice Obaseki dies at 93

BENIN CITY-RETIRED justice of the Supreme Court and the head of the Obaseki family worldwide, Justice Andrew Otutu Obaseki, the Obaseki of Benin Kingdom died at the early hours of yesterday, at the age of 93.



He is an uncle to the incumbent governor of Edo state, Mr Godwin Obaseki. He was said to have died at about 5pm Thursday after a brief illness. The Acting Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (CMD), Prof. Darlington Obaseki, described the death as a great loss to the Obaseki family and expressed thanks to God for the life he lived.
