8 corps members to repeat service in Kaduna

About 8 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to Kaduna State under the Batch B 2015 of the scheme are to repeat their service year in the state
–  The 8 corps members absconded immediately after their orientation last year

– Mohammed Momoh, the NYSC Coordinator in the state, said 15 other corps members had their service years extended


About 8 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to Kaduna State under the Batch B 2015 of the scheme are to repeat their service year in the state, NAN reports.
Mohammed Momoh, the NYSC Coordinator in the state disclosed this in Kaduna on Thursday, October 6, at the passing out of the 2, 837 members of the batch.
Momoh said the 8 corps members absconded immediately after their orientation last year.
He said 15 other corps members had their service years extended for violating rules and regulations of the corps.
The coordinator said seven corps members died during the service year.

The alarm was raised after another member, Ogundare Opeyemi slumped and died in the Nembe area of Bayelsa state. Punch reports that the deceased slumped a day after he had a party with his colleagues in the area of his primary assignment.
