Read the message below

THE UNITY OF MACSA

The unity we need as an association of intellectuals and independent thinkers would never be achieved in the midst of grievances and affectations. MACSA is an association hinged on the core principle of advancing society via communication and as members we would become irrelevant if the purpose of this great association, her activities and even the relationship among members is shattered in the fight for superiority, dominance or oppressiveness.

In every sporting activity, emotions are very present especially in a competitive one like AMAGA where the flag of each constituencies is raised high in the medal tables and the incessant cheering by constituency members. Notwithstanding as professional communicators and global citizens, there is something crucial we shouldn't forget that life goes beyond the university and as leaders today let us work towards unity advancement of this great association.

As the President of this great association, I strongly believe in raising leaders and the MACSA constitution clearly gave room for independence of every office including that of the Director of Sport, but the overseeing function of the presidency is ever present. From all indication, the AMAGA football final was a sprain on our athletic unity and as the President, I am never a part of unfairness, partiality, rivalry or any form of misconducts displayed on the pitch and deliberations are ongoing on the result of the game.

As these deliberations continue, I want to appeal to all affected constituency to bury their swords and seek the way of peace because we are #OneMACSA. We need to retake our dominance as the most vibrant association in the Ek.City and we can only do this by participating in the ongoing MACSA week. For there is no MACSA without you.

Thank you very much.

Rt. Hon. Jegede Joseph
MACSA PRESIDENT 2016/2017
