A report by the Punch indicates that a professor in UNIBEN has been killed by unknown gunmen.
The staff of the University, known as Professor Paul Otasowie, was said to have been shot dead by the armed men in front of his residence.
According to the Punch, the incident happened on Ekehuan road in Oredo local government area of the state on Wednesday, October 4.
It is however not clear if the the professor was assassinated or gunned down by suspected armed robbers.
The late Professor Otasowie was a professor in the schools department of electrical and electronics engineering.
However, NAIJ.com observed that the late professor's Facebook page has been filled with messages bidding him goodbye.
